Argireline, also known as acetyl hexapeptide-8, is a neurotransmitter inhibitory peptide with
high anti-wrinkle activity and low side effects. Acetylhexapeptide-8 participates in the
competition for the position of SNAP-25 in the vesicle complex, thus affecting the formation
of the complex. When the vesicle complex is slightly unstable, the vesicles cannot effectively
release neurotransmitters, which can weaken muscle contraction and prevent the formation of
wrinkles.
