I have had Perioral Dermatitis since I was 10 (I’m now in my 40’s) and it only flares up every now and then anymore but when it does, it looks and feels like I’ve been on a chair lift on a mountain in the cold, blowing, blizzardy wind. It gets red and chapped. It cracks and peels and even bleeds sometimes and it takes forever to go down. Hydrocortisone sort of helps but a steroid in general is bad news. Help! Does anyone have any recommendations/tips/thoughts?

I struggled with this really hard at one point and the only thing that cured it was something called Pimecrolimus cream. You need a prescription for it, so talk to your doctor and see if they’ll hook you up with some. It was gone overnight! Had to do so much research to find out about it. Hope this helps!

I have found that staying away from fluoride in my toothpaste helps immensely
